OBITUARY: (MIDDLEBORO)
Mary Rose (Baker) Silvia, 63, lifelong resident of Middleboro, died on Monday, February 16, 2015, at home, surrounded by her family. She was the wife of Kenneth D. Silvia; they had been married for 43 years. She was daughter of the late Felix F. and Gladys (Kidawski) Baker. She was a graduate of Middleboro High School. Mary was a head cook at the Middleboro Junior High School. She was a former member of the Middleboro Mother’s Club, and the Booster’s Club. She enjoyed gardening, dancing, singing, was an avid Patriots fan, and listening to Elvis Presley. She was a communicant of Sts. Martha & Mary Church, Lakeville. Survivors include her husband, Kenneth; two daughters, Danyelle M. Silvia, and Amanda N. Silvia, both of Middleboro; a step-daughter, Dawn Jenkins of NC; two brothers, Phillip Baker of Deltona, FL, and Kenneth Baker of Valdosta, GA; a granddaughter, Silvia English of Middleboro; three step-grandchildren, Ashley, Elaine and Storm; a great-grandson, Dalton; many nieces, nephews, cousins, whom she adored and loved as her own, and extended family. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, February 19th from 2-4 & 6-8 pm in the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak St. Middleboro. Funeral services will be held from the funeral home on Friday, February 20th at 8 am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 am in Sts. Martha & Mary Church, Bedford St. Lakeville. Burial will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Middleboro.
